“Moving Forward Together – Upcoming Initiatives and Call for Participation”

Dear Esteemed Members of the Eastern India Regional Council,

I trust this message finds you well. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and encouragement that I received following my first communication as Chairman, ICMAI-EIRC. Your positive responses have further reinforced my commitment to serve our council with dedication and transparency.

As we embark on this journey together, I am excited to share some of the initiatives we have taken/ planned in alignment with the key focus areas I previously outlined. These initiatives are designed to foster professional growth, enhance our collective expertise, and strengthen our community.

Programme of August 2024:

a) 02/08/2024 :Discussion on Union Budget &  Committee Report on Cost Accounting Records & Cost Audit – A way forward .

 b) 05/08/2024 : Suggestions/comments on  Government Report on  Cost Accounting Records & Cost Audit 2024 sent to The Chairman, Professional Development & Continuous Professional Education Committee .

c) 15/08/2024 :15th August  Independence day Celebration .

d)  21/08/2024   : Discussion Meet with Representatives from chapters at EIRC premises.

e)  30/08/2024:  CEP programme on “Navigating Financial Distress- The Role of Professionals under IBC and Forensic Audit “

Upcoming Initiatives:

1. Member Engagement Forums:We will be launching a series of interactive forums where members can voice their ideas, share their experiences, and discuss pressing issues in our field. These forums will be a platform for learning and collaboration, ensuring that every member’s voice is heard.
2. Professional Development Programs: Our series of workshops and seminars is in the planning stages, focusing on emerging trends in cost accounting and related fields. I encourage you to participate and stay ahead in this ever-evolving profession.
3. Representation and Advocacy:We are in the process of compiling a list of key issues and suggestions from our region to present to the national council. Your input is invaluable—please share any concerns or recommendations you may have, as we aim to be a strong advocate for our region.
4. Social Responsibility Projects:In line with our commitment to societal development, we will soon announce community projects where members can contribute their expertise to make a meaningful impact. Together, we can leverage our knowledge for the greater good.
5. Technology Integration:As part of our effort to modernize our operations, we are exploring new technologies that will enhance our communication and streamline our activities. Stay tuned for updates as we roll out these tools.

Call for Participation:

The success of these initiatives relies heavily on your active participation. May I inform you that the membership renewal date is 30^th September 2024. I encourage you to get involved, whether by attending our events, contributing to discussions, or volunteering for our social initiatives. Your insights and efforts are what will drive our council forward.
